    Post: Volunteer Progression Officer
    Salary: £22,578 - £27,300
    Hours: 35hrs per week
Contract: Contract Length: to end June 2024 with expectation to run to 31 March 2025, (subject to continuation funding).
Location: Silverburn park, Leven with occasional travel within Fife

Heart, Mind and Soul is a volunteer project based at Silverburn Park in Leven. Volunteers give their time to help us maintain the Walled Garden and 27 acres of mixed woodland. They are vital to keeping Silverburn beautiful. In return they will learn new skills, enjoy socialising with each other and hopefully feel a sense of achievement, giving their time to their community. Tasks include the removal of invasive species and weeds, planting trees and shrubs, litter-picking and much more.

As the Volunteer Progression Officer, you will be responsible for designing and executing a plan for helping volunteers move through their journey, rotating tasks, trying out new ones and stretching comfort zones. Working alongside a Gardener, who will organise and supervise practical tasks and volunteer sessions, the key areas of the overall programme are:

Delivering activities which will help implement the overall Park master-plan, Conservation Management Plan and Urban Woodland Management Plan supported by individual and group volunteers, peer supporters, local community members and partnership organisations.

Working closely with the Horticulture Project Lead, you will support volunteers in their progression towards qualifications through SQA, John Muir and other awards. You’ll help volunteers progress into employment, within Silverburn and more widely.

More information about the job and how to apply can be found here.  Closing date for applications is 06 August 2023.
