Climate action is an ever more important topic in our world. In this session, you'll hear from Utility Aid about how charities can start the conversation about climate action and the wider benefits it can have for your organisation.

By the end of the event, you'll understand:

    • Why it's worth taking action in the first place
    • What works well for organisations of different sizes
    • How you as a trustee can help start conversations in your organisation

    Speakers include:

    • Sally-Ann Beaver, Director of Utility Aid - Sally-Ann has worked in the energy and public sector for over 30 years seeing many changes. Sally-Ann has a broad spectrum of skills from managing large contracts through to network design and calculating pipeline capacities. She's passionate about sharing her knowledge with the voluntary sector where she's able to make a difference and support those who help create a better society for us all.
    • Emily Berr, Partnership Manager from Utility Aid - Emily has a passion for supporting the voluntary sector to save time and money on their energy provision. She believes that collaboration is key to achieving a sustainable future. She regularly holds webinars and discussion groups to provide tips to help identify potential areas of cost recovery and support you in reducing energy consumption and wastage.
    • Ruaire Glackin, Head of Net Zero and Energy Management at Utility Aid - At Utility Aid, Ruaire has consulted housing associations, nursing homes, schools, religious groups, and many different types of community organisations on the journey to net zero. He has a passion for maximising energy efficiency in organisations through a measure, analysis, report, and act process.

The event is for trustees of charities of any size, and can be particularly helpful if you're not from an environmental charity to gain a deeper understanding of climate action.

    Book your place here.
