Hours: 8hrs - Hours are flexible and will be worked out with the successful candidate. There is a need for you to be flexible and these hours may be changed as required according to the Employer’s needs.
Salary: £10.90 per hour
Location: Cowdenbeath
SDS Options are currently recruiting for a personal assistant to help a bright and funny 46 year old woman who has emphysema. Their client is receiving palliative care support and is in need of additional care.
Due to her condition, she is often very low on energy, issues breathing and requires support to get out and about. Although she requires help in the shower, this is currently being met by an agency but due to exhaustion levels may need your support. She also has occasional panic attacks and some experience with this would be preferable but not essential.
Assistance with meal preparation for her and her children would be helpful as well as assistance to hoover etc.
Have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work.
Member of the PVG Membership Scheme or a willingness to have a PVG Check Undertaken.
You will be required to assist the client with the following:
- Assisting client with showers if required
- Some housework
- Accompaniment to appointments etc
- Meal preparation
- Social activity assistance
