  • Children in Scotland - New Participation Opportunity: A Youth Voice Network for Scotland

    Created: 04/12/2023
    News/Events Category: Children and Families

On behalf of The Electoral Commission, Children in Scotland is working on an exciting new project to establish and maintain a Youth Voice Network for Scotland. This group will aim to increase the knowledge and understanding of democracy and politics amongst young people, while supporting consistency in political education.

Children in Scotland is seeking to recruit a diverse group of participants from across Scotland between aged 12-18 and with a range of lived experiences. Participants are not required to have any prior knowledge of democracy or politics. They would particularly welcome applications from those who have not had much interest or experience in politics before.

The deadline for applications is 5.00pm on Friday 19 January 2024
