  • Fathers Network Scotland - What dads really want from Santa

    Created: 05/12/2023
    News/Events Category: Children and Families

In the Fathers Network Scotland (FNS) survey published in October, over 600 fathers with children under 18 were asked 'What one thing would improve the lives of dads in Scotland?'. Now, as the festive season gets into swing, FNS can reveal what fathers really want for Christmas.

85% of dads said more support was needed from government, family services and employers.

Specifically, they want support to help balance the competing demands of providing for and being there for their children.

    Respondents also asked for:

    • Support within education and healthcare settings, and opportunities to connect with other dads
    • To be treated as equal caregivers by public services and society
