SDS Options is looking for a personal assistant to help an 87-year-old male with personal care, medication prompts and light meal prep. The individual has Dementia and is an active character that enjoys other people’s company.
The client is looking for someone who is patient, caring and supportive. This post is for someone to encourage and support the client to shower each day, empty his catheter, remind him about taking his medication and assist with eye drops. Making or assisting the client to make breakfast would also be part of the role. They are currently getting this role reassessed so additional hours may follow.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care
- Medication prompting
- Light meal preparation
- Supervise on activities due to no risk awareness
- Patience & kindness
Caring attitude, Dementia care awareness preferred.
Member of the PVG Membership Scheme or a willingness to have a PVG check undertaken.
