Hours: 10 per week. 5 days per week. Assistance with taxi pick up and drop off. 9.20am pick up from house and 9.45am drop off at Sense Scotland RNIB, then 2.45pm pick up to go home. Additional time for getting from house to car and going into SENSE. There is a need for you to be flexible and these hours may be changed as required according to the employer’s needs.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £10.90 per hour
Location: Edentown, Cupar
SDS Options is looking for someone to safely escort a 25-year-old male who is blind and non-verbal in a pre-booked taxi from home to SENSE Scotland. The addition of signing in and out medication within SENSE and support either side of the journey.
The client is looking for someone who is patient, caring and supportive. This post is looking for someone to escort their client Monday to Friday. Assisting their client into the taxi and sitting behind him on route, then escorting him into the building where medication will be signed in /out. The client will take your right arm and be guided buy you around steps and uneven surfaces etc.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Help to get into / out of taxi.
- Accompany travel in taxi.
Caring approach. Member of the PVG membership scheme or a willingness to have a PVG check undertaken.
