  • Consultation - Draft Circular Economy and Waste Route Map to 2030

    Created: 05/02/2024
    News/Events Category: Consultations

The Scottish Government has launched a consultation on Scotlands draft Circular Economy and Waste Route Map to 2030.

The route map sets out the strategic direction for delivering a system-wide, comprehensive vision for Scotland’s circular economy from now to 2030. Building on the first consultation from 2022, The Scottish Government is consulting on key priority actions that will unlock progress across the waste hierarchy.

    The route map aims to:-

    1. Set the direction and foundations for delivery of a circular economy
    2. Set our priorities to accelerate more sustainable use of our waste
    3. Reduce carbon emissions associated with resource and waste
    4. Strengthen the circular economy

The consultation closes on Thursday 15 March 2024.
