Fife Employment Access Trust (FEAT) is recruiting for two Employment Specialists in their Fife IPS project.

FEAT is a well-established employability and mental health charity delivering the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service in Fife.

    The role

A varied, challenging and rewarding role, FEAT helps their clients find the right job and continue to support them to stay in work. Their clients have different barriers to employment and commonly share severe and enduring mental ill health.

FEAT follow the proven IPS framework which helps them to guide their clients on their individual journeys. They support people in three areas - employability, mental wellbeing, and making connections. They are flexible and creative in what they do, recognising that each clients is a unique individual and helping them to focus on the strengths they each have.

    Why work with FEAT?

FEAT foster a supportive and inclusive culture, where working as a team and helping each other to constantly improve is at their core. They offer a comprehensive induction, ongoing training, as well as weekly support and supervision. FEAT also encourage peer observations and find this a useful way of learning and developing in a supportive way. Ongoing training is part of the role where they offer a mixture of required training and personal development flexibility.

Organisationally, FEAT offer a competitive salary, pension, and generous holiday allowance. FEAT is a Disability Confident employer and encourage applications from all members of the community including disabled applicants. Whilst FEAT is a flexible employer, this role is based at Silverburn Park, with some days worked in Fife Community Mental Health Team venues, so requires a mix of meetings in the local community as well as home working. The role allows a degree of autonomy and trust to achieve the best possible results for clients. On successful completion of probation, usually six months, they are happy to discuss other flexible work options.

    • You'll be understanding, compassionate and patient, with the skills to support clients into competitive employment
    • You'll have attention to detail, be a problem solver and enjoy being part of a small team making a big difference through good work improving mental health
