    Action for Children have revealed that in 2021/22, 57% of children in poverty in Scotland were in families where parents faced a significant barrier to work, and where work was therefore not a route out of poverty – the charity has called on the UK and Scottish governments to uplift the child aspect of Universal Credit and raise the Scottish Child Payment to £30 per week.
