    Hours: 24.5 per week. The hours are made up of one 24.5 shift, 10.00am until 10.30am the following day inclusive of a sleepover. Opportunity of overtime to cover other team members absence.
    Salary: £10.90 per hour
    Location: Dunfermline

     

    SDS Options is supporting their client to recruit for a female personal assistant to join her team. The client has cerebral palsy and lives in her own home and is looking for support to assist her with all aspects of personal care and living independently. She has her own mobility vehicle and for reasons of insurance applicants must be aged 25 or over.

    She has a good sense of humour, enjoys visiting friends, days out, the theatre, creative writing, enjoys watching TV and listening to music whilst on her computer and also attends a drama group. She also has two cats which are a big part of her life.

    You must like animals, especially cats, be able to work on your own initiative, have a good sense of humour, be kind, honest, caring and loyal.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • All aspects of personal care
    • Food preparation and assisting with eating and drinking
    • General household duties as per any family home including feeding cats and cleaning litter tray
    • Shopping
    • Accompanying on trips our either by car or public transport

    About you

    Due to the personal care elements of this role, an Occupational Requirement applies for female applicants only. This is permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

    This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups). 

    You must have a driving licence and aged over 25 for mobility car insurance purposes. You should like cats and a non-smoker is preferred. You should be kind, caring and have a good sense of humour.
