Afternoon and evening support.Salary: £13.00 per hourLocation: St AndrewsSDS Options is looking for a Personal Assistant to help a 39-year-old female who has severe ME and allergies. She is looking for assistance to support her to build routine and encourage her to try new things. Initially she is confined to her bed and needs help to transfer to bathroom from a wheelchair etc but can transfer herself so only requires supervision.
With various health needs our client requires understanding and sensitivity to building a connection and trust whilst undertaking tasks. Their client would prefer afternoon visit and evening visit as has sleep issues but happy to discuss with the right candidate.
Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. They are appy to discuss the breakdown of hours and split these if preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provision of personal care
- Meal prep, shopping assistance and cooking
- Assisting client to have a wash down, bath; change clothes
- Light housekeeping
- Medication assistance
About you
Occupational Requirement: Due to the personal care elements of this role, this post is restricted to female applicants, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
Qualifications Required: PVG required - this role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
Essential Requirements: Kind, caring and a good sense of humour.
