Wheels in the Park
A sponsored cycle event for primary school children.
Date: Sunday 21 April 2024
Location: Pittencrieff Park and Duloch Park
Volunteers needed: Marshals to help keep children on the right course. You'll be needed for a couple of hours from 12.30pm.
Dunfermline Children's Gala
Date: Saturday 22 June 2024
Location: Starting at East Port and winding down the High Street into Pittencrieff Park
Gala Day begins with a procession starting at 11am from East Port, winding down the High Street and into Pittencrieff Park where the school children will enjoy the traditional packed lunch and school activities. Our afternoon entertainment starts at 1pm, where families can enjoy entertainment, inflatables, charity stalls, and refreshments, finishing at 4pm.
Volunteer opportunities: They are looking for people who can lend a hand in the few days before the gala or on the day of the gala. You'll be teamed up with an existing member of the gala committee. You could be helping in the Glen, managing traffic flow, directing children at the start of the parade, or helping to ensure the parade passes smoothly. The organisers are flexible with times but need people from 8.00am until tidy up finishes after 4.00pm.
