  • CELCIS - Implementation of National Guidance For Child Protection

    Created: 22/03/2024
    News/Events Category: Children and Families

CELCIS have published the findings from a self-evaluation exercise completed by all 31 of Scotland’s Child Protection Committees (CPCs).

The report presents the findings from the self-evaluation exercise completed by all 31 of Scotland’s Child Protection Committees (CPCs) in relation to their local implementation of the National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland 2021.

The report finds that CPCs have been involved in a significant amount of activity (including implementation of Bairns’ Hoose, Safe and Together, Scottish Child Interview Model, and trauma-informed practice) and good progress has been made across many of the aspects asked about in the self-evaluation.

However, specific aspects have been identified that require further work and attention, including data and quality assurance activity and providing intensive family support.
