    Role: Finance Officer

Cold water dip/swimming helps to improve my mental health and wellbeing. Despite it sounding like an unusual thing to do, once you get in and acclimatise to the cold it's an amazing feeling and makes you feel ready for anything afterwards.

My very first dip was on New Year's Day 2022 at Aberdour beach when my friend challenged me to join her. I still go for a dip there and I've also swam at Loch Lomond and Glencoe. I'm not part of a club, but I mainly go with my daughter-in-law, Claire.

I would recommend anyone start this hobby. It gives you a sense that anything is achievable if you put your mind to it. It's also a great way to see some amazing scenery!
