    News/Events Category: General News

At the recent Third Sector Employability Forum Stephen McConnachie of DWP gave an update on DWP plans for supporting people coming off the Work Programme who still haven’t found a job. Under ‘Help to Work’ as of April 2014 JSA claimants returning from the Work Programme will go onto one of three intensive models of support depending on their needs, as determined by their JC+ adviser.

    • Mandatory Intervention Regime of intensive adviser support which lasts for 6 months
    • Daily attendance and sign on at the Jobcentre
    • Community Work Placements: 6 months placement for 30hrs/week alongside provider-led jobsearch

The deadline for tenders for the Community Work Placement programme has now passed. If you haven’t read the information pack for delivery partners or would be interested in approaching any of the possible suppliers then check out the attached document.
