  • Coastal Communities Fund

    Created: 09/04/2014
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

You may already be aware of this opportunity but there is a short window of opportunity remaining for revenue type and "shovel ready" capital projects under the Coastal Communities Fund – www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/global-content/programmes/uk-wide/coastal-communities

The deadline is 30 April 2014 - but importantly potential FLAG areas could maybe think about a short piece of underpinning research or sense checking ideas for coastal marine activity in their area. No match funding required. Please feel free to forward to others.

PLEASE NOTE the priority areas/themes for this Coastal Community Fund in Scotland are:

£5.8 million for Scotland excluding the Highlands and Islands with applications welcome from projects:

    • from small and medium size coastal communities with a population of around 60,000 or less, facing economic challenges
    • that promote sustainable economic growth and jobs through economic diversification activities in coastal communities that enable the growth of local businesses
    • that complement strategic regeneration initiatives within coastal communities
