  • Opportunities Fife Partnership Commissioning Framework

    Created: 06/06/2014
    News/Events Category: General News

The Opportunities Fife Partnership Commissioning Framework has been created following an independent review of the Fife Employability Pathway produced by the Training and Employment Research Unit at Glasgow University in November 2014. It also builds on consultation with the Fife Employability Forum and OFP Delivery Group members.

The Commissioning Framework highlights the strategic priorities of the OFP for employment service provision in Fife and in particular will guide the allocation of European and Fairer Scotland Funding for 2014 and beyond.

The document identifies 9 strategic areas for intervention. Commissioning for two of these priority groups, ex-offenders and people with health problems and disabilities will work to a slightly different timescale which will be published in July following completion of two pieces of research into the needs of these client groups.

    The Application Process:

The timeframes and process for applying for funding through the Commissioning Framework are still to be agreed. We will let you know as soon as we hear more.

Third sector organisations interested in applying are strongly advised to get in touch with the Fife Employability Consortium in the first instance. Please contact John Oates at BRAG on 01592 860296.

Other organisations or those interested in applying for funding independently should register their interest with Adam Dunkerley and also get in touch with the lead of the relevant OFP Delivery Group to explore how your proposal fits with existing provision and other proposals being developed. The contact details are as follows:

Adult (Over 25) Delivery Group – Phil Martin

Health & Disabilities Delivery Group - Pegs Bailey

Youth Employment Delivery Group – Heather Tytler

If you have any questions please contact Pegs Bailey or Christine Davison at FVA on 08456 006 046 or Adam Dunkerley at Fife Council on 03451 55 55 55 + Ext: 440327.
