Project Worker - Fife Specialist Harm Reduction Service
Created: 23/07/2014Addaction Fife is looking to recruit an experienced Project Worker to support its Specialist Harm Reduction Service in Fife. The service provides a holistic, accessible service for people experiencing drug or alcohol related harm. The majority of service users will be looking to access low threshold services such as needle exchange, Naloxone supply, wound care, BBV information and advice on drugs and alcohol addiction issues.
Your role will be to help clients address their substance misuse issues. Acting as both supporter and facilitator, you'll draw up recovery plans to assist them through and beyond the challenges they face, and work with them to make positive changes. You'll need excellent listening skills, balanced with a team-orientated and proactive attitude, as well as demonstrable experience in a health, social care or criminal justice setting.
This is a fixed term post as the contract is due to expire on 31 March 2015.
