The Prince’s Trust, a youth charity, helps change young lives. It gives practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation.

Development awards are grants of between £50 and £500 for young people who are struggling to access education, work or training. Awards can be used to purchase items such as clothing, tools, equipment and training courses.

Award Assessors meet young people face to face to assess their applications and provide support with action planning and, where necessary, budgeting in order to progress their idea. On the basis of the assessment meeting, they must make a recommendation to the panel on whether to award funding to the young person or group of young people.
