SmartLiving Employability Programme, Commences 21 August for 12 weeks

News/Events Category: General NewsThe SmartLiving 12 week employability programme will begin on Thursday 21st August. The programme will run every Thursday and Friday for the first 8 weeks, before moving to 4 a per week for the next 3 weeks as participants will undertake a work placement. They will then return to SmartLiving for the final week of the programme.
From the 20 young people who participated in the last 2 groups, 8 have moved into employment, with the rest either moving into further education or continuing to progress through other providers.
- Increased confidence, personal development and self awareness;
- Personality profiling;
- How to build a CV, write a cover letter and plan a phone call;
- Work Experience placements;
- Increased options;
- Basic IT skills;
- Supported job search assistance, including Universal Jobmatch;
- Further education options, including college or continued voluntary options;
- A chance to develop your skills through a variety of projects and community work;
