    The Richmond Fellowship Scotland currently has a vacancy for:-

    Senior Support Worker - Ref No: E-CFF-T2-SSW
    Location: Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy
    Salary: £20,128 - £21,487 per annum pro rata
    Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week - participation in sleepovers, lone working and ability to work a flexible shift pattern is essential

    Applications are invited from candidates to work within a social care setting, providing flexible cover to people in their own homes and work with people who are at risk of being excluded from society:-

    • people who may have a variety of support needs including mental health difficulties;
    • learning disabilities;
    • physical disabilities;
    • dementia;
    • autism.

    The Senior Support Worker will provide first line management and lead a small team of support staff. They will be responsible for ensuring all current and newly referred individuals receive high quality, person centred support. They will lead and support practice development within the team and will provide coaching and mentoring to team members. In order to ensure the Senior Support Worker has the opportunity to establish and maintain direct contact and involvement with those that The Richmond Fellowship Scotland support, an element of their role will be direct support provision. They will be responsible for preparing and maintaining up-to-date support plans and co-ordinating the provision of high quality, individualised, support by support staff.

    Applicants must have a minimum of two years experience in a human services setting, and management experience is desirable. While it would be beneficial for candidates to possess an SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, training will be provided if required. Excellent communication and people skills are essential, as well as good time management and report-writing skills. The Richmond Fellowship Scotland staff enjoy a competitive salary and a generous employer's contribution towards a workplace pension, as well as other employee-related rewards. Applicants are required to hold a clean and full driving licence with access to transport, as well as undertake safer handling training.
