News/Events Category: Funding and FinanceInspiring Scotland invites Scottish charities to apply to the Play Strategy Fund.
The fund is looking to invest in charities with innovative play ideas which will help achieve the outcomes of the Play Strategy Action Plan following the launch last year of the Scottish Government’s Play Strategy for Scotland.
Up to £15,000 of Scottish Government funding and development support for turning great ideas into a reality is on offer, along with the opportunity to benefit from access to Inspiring Scotland’s strong portfolio of charities.
Applications should demonstrate how they support at least one of the outcomes listed in the Play Strategy Action Plan. The strategy is focused on the following domains:
- Play in the community;
- Play in the home;
- Play at nursery and school;
- Supporting a positive environment for play through its workforce.

Deadline for applications: Friday 10 October 2014.
Charities will also be invited to present their application at a friendly Dragon’s Den on 30 October 2014.
