  • Apple Day 2014

    Created: 02/10/2014
    News/Events Category: Community Events

    When: 12 noon - 3.00pm, Saturday 25 October 2014
    Where: Ravenscraig Walled Garden, Kirkcaldy
This event is being organised by Greener Kirkcaldy

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

Join Greener Kirkcaldy for their 3rd annual Apple Day at Ravenscraig Walled Gardens - a celebration of the humble apple!

Greener Kirkcaldy have a fun packed day this year, and it's especially exciting as 2014 saw their first apple harvest from the orchard they planted in November 2012. Make apple juice, hear stories, get your apples identified and learn about growing apples (plus games and much more...). Greener Kirkcaldy are looking for donations of apples to make apple juice. If you have an apple tree and don't know what to do with your crop, please get in touch with them. You can also bring your own apples along and make juice from them to take home (please bring your own bottles). There will also be stories for kids (and big-kids) from Mrs. Mash the storytelling cook. Andrew Lear (aka Appletreeman) will be on hand to try to identify your apples and give advice on growing and looking after apple trees.

This is an open event - just come along!
