    Community Support Services for adults aged 16 to 65, with a disability are available from various locations throughout Fife. They support people in the community by offering assistance with personal care, help in their daily lives and accessing a range of opportunities including employment opportunities. Support is provided to meet individual’s requirements and is flexible and responsive towards changing needs and wishes.

    West Fife Community Support Service works in partnership with Fife Supported Employment Services and is looking to recruit a Disability Employment Co-ordinator to assist people with disabilities who access WFCSS to achieve their employment goals.

    Supported Employment Services actively promote the benefits of employing people with disabilities and health issues and the employability agenda, working with a range of organisations involved in employment, health, education and social care.

    You will assist people with disabilities and/or mental health issues to achieve their employment goals through the provision of Supported Employment which includes helping people to access training, work experience and paid employment.

    Significant experience of working with people with disabilities/health issues using person centred planning is required.

    It is also essential to have knowledge of DWP disability related benefits and previous experience of liaising with employment, education, health and social care service providers.

    Experience of working with employers and setting up work placements and helping clients to find and keep work.

    Previous experience of liaising with external organisations.

    Candidates must be educated to higher grade level or equivalent.

    The ability to travel extensively throughout Fife is essential.

    Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain PVG Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland.
