Senior Children's Support Worker - The Cottage Family Centre

News/Events Category: Job VacanciesThe Cottage Family Centre offers support to vulnerable families with pre-school children living in the Kirkcaldy area. The service provides a programme of group activities supported by good quality childcare.
A vacancy has arisen for a highly motivated person with a deep understanding of pre-school children’s learning and development. The post will be Senior to the childcare team.
Hours: 18 hours per week
Salary: £19,110 pro rataEssential:
The individual must have the ability to lead/support a small staff team within a childcare setting and report to the Service Manager. The worker will be responsible for developing a broad range of learning activities which are specific to the needs of vulnerable pre-school children.
Qualifications:
N.N.E.B./NVQ 4 Childcare and Early Years Education, Childcare SVQ Level 4, PDA Childcare and Early Years Education/Childhood Practice or one of the qualifications detailed in the Education: (‘Lead Practitioner’) category of the Scottish Social Services Council is essential. A certificate in Food Handling and First Aid are also required.
This post will be subject to a PVG Scheme Record check and references. This post is funded until end of March 2015 and thereafter pending funding.
