    You can play a part in helping Fife Council’s work on developing the Gaelic language.

    The Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 was passed by the Scottish Parliament and seeks to secure the status of Gaelic as an official language of Scotland commanding equal respect to the English language. Fife Council first Gaelic Language Plan 2015-18, sets out how they will take forward the work to support and promote the use of Gaelic throughout the Region in conjunction with Bòrd na Gàidhlig (the Gaelic Board).

    Fife Council would welcome your feedback on their draft plan before their formal submission to Bòrd na Gàidhlig.

    Consultation Period - 23 October to 05 December

    Fife Council are also interested in bringing together a small group of individuals to discuss the plan in detail. If you would like to take part in this focus group please e-mail [email protected]
