Opportunities Fife Partnership Workforce Modelling Report
Created: 03/11/2014There is a growing acceptance across Scotland that the supply of appropriate skills and qualifications is an important driver of economic competitiveness through impacts on employee productivity and adaptability. Publicly funded education provision therefore needs to become more focussed on raising the long term employability of learners and meeting the employment and skills needs of employers. It is in this context that the Fife Economy Partnership and Opportunities Fife Partnership have commissioned this research, which sets out to deliver a bespoke workforce planning model for Fife.
The workforce planning model aims to provide robust labour market intelligence around the demand for and supply of skills in Fife, which can then inform partners’ decision-making on the most effective package of skills investment for promoting and supporting the long-term development of Fife’s economy.
