Against a backdrop of financial pressure and savings of £77million to be made, Fife Council is keen to remind people of its commitment to deliver more affordable homes across the Kingdom.

The Council has an established target to deliver 2700 new homes for rent by 2017. Councillor Judy Hamilton, the Council’s Executive Spokesperson for Housing and Building Services is encouraged that around 750 of these new homes are already built and occupied. She said: “At a time when we are considering the tough challenges that our budget pressures bring, it’s important that we continue to tackle the housing need of Fife residents”.
