    LinkLiving currently has a vacancy for the following:-

    Volunteer Worker (Employability)
    Fixed Term to 31 March 2015
    Hours: 37.5 per week
    Salary: Circa £18,360 per annum

    The Job:

    LinkLiving aims to provide volunteering, peer education and employability opportunities to enable more vulnerable volunteers and participants to actively engage in the service. This role will provide opportunity of learning and development for volunteers and participants to equip and support them with skills to enable them to gain employment or other positive destination. The volunteer worker will recruit, induct and train volunteers and maintain information for the service and process any referrals.

    Maximising user involvement and choice and promoting and developing innovative practice are key aspects of the job.

    What you will need:

    • Willing to undertake SQA Assessor qualification;
    • Experience of working with people as volunteers;
    • Experience and knowledge of the employability sector, voluntary sector and volunteering initiatives;
    • Experience of delivering accredited training and knowledge of developing training;
    • Ability and understanding of how to build relationships and support people as volunteers;
    • Ability to create relationships/partnerships with other voluntary and statutory agencies.
