  • What's your Weapon of Choice?

    News/Events Category: General News

There's still time to catch the 'Weapon of Choice' exhibition in it's last week in the Rothes Halls Foyer, Glenrothes. The project was created to graphically demonstrate the invisible damage that can be done by verbal abuse. The project has been promoted by Fife Adult Protection Committee and Fife Child Protection Committee and aims to provoke a conversation about the harmful effects of verbal abuse particularly for adults at risk of harm, vulnerable children and young people, and those exposed to domestic violence. Weapon of Choice was created by commercial photographer Rich Johnson of Spectacle Photo in America. World-class professional makeup artists applied makeup to each participant to simulate an injury, and the hurtful word chosen by the participant was then incorporated. All of the participants were made aware of the goals of the project, and many had personal experiences that contributed to their willingness to give their time and their image to the project. All minors were represented by a legal guardian.
