  • Adult Protection Committee Biennial Report

    Created: 19/11/2014
    News/Events Category: General News

    The Biennial Report creates a log of the work of the Adult Protection Committee over the last two years and provides a mechanism for confirming to the Scottish Government that the committee have executed the specified function contained within the Act. For the first time the APC have additionally created an Easy Read version of the Biennial Report. The biennial report is a statutory requirement of the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 (The Act).

    This third biennial report evidences the work Fife Adult Protection Committee has undertaken between 01 April 2012 and 31 March 2014 in pursuance of its key functions:

    • To keep under review procedures and practices, particularly those related to co-operation;
    • To give information or advice;
    • To make or assist or encourage arrangements for improving skills and knowledge.

    The two year reporting period has seen Fife APC demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement across and between the agencies. The report has highlighted many positive areas of collaborative work undertaken and the Improvement Plan (Appendix C) is a powerful illustration of the challenging future agenda the committee wish to advance.
