    Course Aims:

    To help participants develop their ideas, skills and strategies regarding offering support to volunteers.

    Topics to be covered on the course are:

    • What is support;
    • Levels of control in volunteer management;
    • Methods of support;
    • Methods of supervision;
    • Managing difficult situations;
    • Dismissing/counselling out volunteers.

    Who should attend:

    Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation.

    Accreditation Award:

    All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

    Progress/Further Study:

    Course 4 of the FVA Volunteer Management Training Programme on "Fair and Equal Volunteering".
