Learning Coach - Fife Employment Access Trust
Created: 19/12/2014Fife Employment Access Trust has a vacancy within their Employ your Mind (Employ Young Minds Project) which provides vocational rehabilitation services to inpatients and outpatients of Fife's mental health services, in a combination of group work and one-to-one settings.
The project began in June 2012 and is funded for a further 2 years, and they are looking for candidates for a Learning Coach position, funded by Youngstart, to specifically support young people aged 15-18 who have had their first episode or first diagnosis of an enduring mental health condition.
Hours: 21 per week
Salary: £24,675 per annum (pro rata) - actual salary £14,805 per annum, fixed term 24 month contract
The successful candidate should have some knowledge of cognitive remediation therapy and have experience delivering employability soft skills to both individuals and groups with complex, severe and enduring mental health conditions. You will co-deliver elements of the accredited training programme and assist in the development of new content for the coursework. Working mainly with young people aged 15-18, you will be part of a dynamic team offering an inclusive, non-judgmental approach to prepare, support, and empower people to flourish by managing their mental health for life. All successful candidates will be based in Fife Employment Access Trust offices in Glenrothes and are also expected to carry out a proportion of work in psychiatric ward settings, with patients with psychosis, on a one-to-one basis.
