    In this taster session, the course tutor, Charlotte MacIntosh, will outline what would be expected if participants wanted to take part in the full course 'Health Issues in the Community'.

    Course Content:-

    • Social model of health versus the medical model of health;
    • Power and participation;
    • Inequality and diversity;
    • Community development and citizenship.

    You will develop your understanding of the range of factors that affect your health and the health of your communities and explore how these factors can be addressed using community development approaches.
