MARAC (Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conferencing) - Domestic Abuse and the safety of High Risk Victims
Created: 17/02/2015The MARAC process allows agencies to share information about very high risk cases of domestic abuse and together agree a Risk Management Plan (RMP). Whatever service/organisation you work in, you will be in contact with victims of domestic abuse. Victims need frontline staff to have an excellent understanding of risk in relation to domestic abuse.
Domestic abuse is complex and requires a robust multi-agency response. Through the sharing of information and expertise, the MARAC process enhances the safety of the individuals at highest risk of further abuse.
