This event is being organised by Fife Domestic and Sexual Abuse Partnership
This particular event is free to attend, so no payment is required.
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.This half day course is facilitated by Fife Rape and Sexual Assault Centre (FRASAC).
Course pre-requisite: Participants MUST have previously attended Basic Awareness of Rape and Sexual Assault or See Me Not My Mask training.
Course Aims:
To develop a deeper understanding of trauma that has become embedded and complex.
Objectives of the Training:
- To consider what the term 'complex trauma' means;
- To examine how it can present and what the 'symptoms' are;
- To look at the potential benefits of using psycho-education.
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this training participants will:-
- Have a deeper understanding of complex trauma;
- Have a greater insight into how it can impact on individuals, how it might present and the difficulties it can cause;
- Have an awareness and basic understanding of psycho-education and how is can help de-mystify the symptoms of trauma and put proper emphasis on the individuals innate resourcefulness.
