Created: 16/04/2015Homelands Trust invite you along to their forthcoming events at the Paxton Centre.
An NHS dietician will be delivering a talk on food and diet. Information will be provided in connection with health, wellbeing, illness, long-term health conditions and disability.
Peter Scobie will be delivering a talk on personal alarms and their different usages, safety in the home, personal safety and ICE (In Case of Emergency). The Accessible café is also open on Wednesdays, you can enjoy a light bite and a blether - all welcome.
After several requests from those who attended the taster classes Realistic Pilates are looking to run a 6 week block course at the Paxton Centre.
Pilates is low impact and evidenced to be effective improving health. If you want to have discussion about the health benefits, we can put you in touch with instructor Yvonne Rodger of Real Pilates.
Come along and give it a try, why not bring a friend with you or indeed meet new people here. Tea and coffee, juice provided.
Stop and Talk counselling service are providing a counsellor every Wednesday from 1.00 - 4.00pm at the Paxton Centre. Kelly is a trained counsellor, a wheelchair user and has first hand experience of difficult access problems and other issues that can often accompany disability.
The initial counselling session is £5.00 with subsequent sessions costing £10 with the proceeds going to Homelands charity.
