    Markinch After School Kids Club are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated enthusiastic Deputy Manager with minimum level 3 childcare qualification and experience within a childcare setting. The successful applicant must be willing to undertake CPD in relation to this post.

    You will assist the Manager in the day to day running of the club, administration tasks, to interacting with the children through play activities to promote a positive safe environment for children between the ages of 4 and 12. This role is diverse from supervising staff.

    The post is regulated work with children and is subject to the provisions of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Act 2007. The successful applicant must be or agree to become a member of the PVG scheme. In addition they will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council and meet any requirements for continued registration.

    A current first aid and food hygiene certificate and child protection training would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be required to work 15 hours minimum a week. Additional hours will be available during holiday periods, therefore a degree of flexibility will be required.
