    Every day across Scotland, Cornerstone provides care and support services for adults, children and young people with disabilities and other support needs. With over 30 years experience, they have designed flexible services to meet the individual needs of the people they support, maximising their independence and supporting them in the community. The service currently operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    Cornerstone are seeking to employ enthusiastic, positive and motivated individuals as Support Assistants in their new Fife service. This service supports two adults to live independently in their own home.

    Contract Type: Permanent
    1 x Support Assistant (20 hours per week)
    1 x Support Assistant (19 hours per week)
    Salary: £14,764 - £16,123 per annum (part time pro rata)
    Please note the Scottish Living Wage of £7.85 per hour is applicable to all Support Assistant posts.

    These posts involves a wide range of support tasks, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, outdoor/indoor activities, community support and record keeping.

    A driving licence and regular use of a vehicle is required for these posts.

    Experience of working within a social care setting is desirable. Additionally, experience with supporting individuals who display challenging behaviours will be advantageous. A positive approach to care and support, strong value base and empathy for others are important.

    An SVQ Level 2 in Social Care (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards this is essential and demonstrable experience of working in a caring or supportive role would be advantageous. If you have life experience Cornerstone will consider this too.

    The work patterns will be on a rota system. You will be working day shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays, as well as sleeping-in, depending on the needs of the service.
