White Ribbon Fife Information Event
Created: 09/07/2015Fife Domestic and Sexual Abuse Partnership invite you along to an information event to find out more about the White Ribbon Fife campaign and how you can get involved.
The White Ribbon Campaign is an International campaign to engage men and boys in ending violence against women.
White Ribbon Fife was launched in November 2013 and Fife was awarded White Ribbon status in December 2014 in recognition of the work done. Fife is the first Community Planning Partnership in Scotland to receive this award.
In recent months a range of White Ribbon events have taken place in Council buildings, local businesses and in the community. White Ribbon Speakers have also done a significant amount of work with S3 pupils at 5 high schools to explore and challenge attitudes around violence in a bid to keep young people safe in their relationships. White Ribbon pledges from Fife currently account for about one third of the total number of pledges in Scotland and the campaign is gearing up to reach the milestone of 3000 as soon as possible.
Fife Domestic and Sexual Abuse Partnership would like to extend the reach of this campaign and need more people to get involved.
If you think you could help highlight the issues, please come along to the information event, a buffet lunch will be provided.
