    The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is a leading voluntary organisation, supporting people with a broad range of needs to live in their own homes as part of the community. They currently have vacancies for the following:-

    Support Practitioners - Ref No: E-CFF-SESS
    Location: Glenrothes/Kirkcaldy
    Salary: £7.20 per hour
    Hours: Flexible basis

    Applications are invited from candidates to work within a social care setting, providing flexible cover to people in their own homes and work with people who are at risk of being excluded from society, people who may have a variety of support needs including:-

    • Mental health difficulties;
    • Learning disabilities;
    • Physical disabilities;
    • Dementia;
    • Autism.

    The successful applicants will be supporting people in their own home with all aspects of daily living, such as general housekeeping and budgeting, personal care, home care, meals and medication, social and recreational activities, as well as enabling them to develop meaningful relationships and establish links within the local area. Relevant experience is desirable, however an ability to get along with people, practical life skills and common sense are just as important.

    Full induction and training will be provided, as well as the opportunity to gain an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. (Sessional staff may not be entitled to the full range of company benefits).

    Applicants are required to hold a full driving licence due to the requirements of the people supported.

    Sessional Workers are required to work on an ad hoc basis to provide cover for annual leave, training and sickness.
