Good Wood Glenrothes - Fortmonthills Community Woodland
Created: 24/08/2015Fife Employment Access Trust are delighted to announce dates for an exciting new outdoor wellbeing project. Good Wood supports adult participants who are experiencing mental health and social isolation, on their journey towards improved mental health, increased activity and employment.
Good Wood uses Woodland based activities, (e.g. tree planting, woodland management, bushcraft and taichi) as a forum for developing skills, confidence and wellbeing necessary to move forward on this recovery path. This project runs in parallel with FEAT's existing employability programmes and will be delivered in partnership with New Caledonian Woodlands, an environmental sustainability and mental wellbeing charity whom FEAT currently work with on another mental health project.
The project will run for two 10 week blocks, of once weekly sessions which will last 3 to 4 hours. Each block will have space for 12 participants.

The project is funded by Fife Council Glenrothes Area Committee and target group for participants are those living in Glenrothes and the surrounding area.
