    News/Events Category: General News

See me … End mental health discrimination campaign are running a “Walk A Mile” initiative on Thursday 03 September 2015.

This campaign is to highlight stigma surrounding mental health. The aim is to get people “walking a mile” with someone from another walk of life.

See Me… is linking with Chris McCullough Young, an ex social worker with borderline personality disorder, who has walked around the edge of the UK to highlight mental health, to launch a Scotland-wide campaign on 03 September called “walk a mile”. This campaign launches in Edinburgh asking anyone to walk down the Royal Mile and start a conversation.

Across Fife, Thursday, 03 September, could be used to broaden out that theme to “walk a mile” with colleagues, family, friends, clients, patients, or those we do not know who are in the same organisation as us.

If this is an initiative in which your organisation could participate, please e-mail [email protected] to let her know what you are planning to do. This information will be collated and shared with the rest of Fife through social media.

For more information please check the See Me website as they will be continually updating progress as they closer to the date.
