  • Development Grants available to community cycling projects

    Created: 27/08/2015
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

Are you a community group looking for funding to help increase cycling locally and would you like to offer cycle training to locals of all ages and abilities?

Would your town or village benefit from clear cycle signage?

Well, Cycling Scotland are currently offering Development Grants of up to £20,000 to help community groups to do this. The development grants will ultimately help communities to achieve the Cycle Friendly Community Award (due for launch in the coming weeks).

To apply for a Development Grant, you are required to complete a self-assessment form as well as an application form – both of which can be downloaded here.

The application and guidance notes reference the Cycle Friendly Community Award and its criteria which will be launched in summer 2015.

Applications can be submitted at any time up until Friday 30 October 2015 and will be assessed on a first come, first serve basis, dependent on available funding.

For more information, please contact Development Officer Shona Morris on 0141 229 5446 or by e-mailing [email protected].

Cycling Scotland are happy to visit and assist in any way that will help.
