    This interactive one day course will help you gain an understanding of both mental wellbeing and mental illness within our society. You will learn the signs and symptoms of the more common forms of mental illness and the treatments most commonly used, including medical and non-medical interventions.

    By the end of this course you will have a useful, basic understanding of:
    • Positive mental wellbeing and learn some tips on how to 'stay well';
    • Common mental health problems, their signs and symptoms and commonly used methods of intervention;
    • The risk factors associated with mental health conditions;
    • How you can help people to access support services.

    Participants will receive a certificate of attendance and supporting handouts.
