When: 10.00am - 1.15pm, Thursday 24 March 2016 Where: Beveridge Park Hotel, Kirkcaldy, KY2 5LZ This event is being organised by Fife Carers Centre This particular event is free to attend, so no payment is required.
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.
This highly regarded workshop is for family and unpaid carers and is free to attend but booking is a requirement. The workshop is designed to help carers who are caring for someone living with dementia to understand how dementia might change the way someone is experiencing the world and how knowing this can help you to cope with the changes you see in them.
The workshop looks at what dementia is, how it might affect the brain and why that changes behaviours. It helps carers to find ways to deal with the changes and to help the person they care for live as well as possible for as long as possible.
As we are often asked if workers can attend we have also adapted the workshop for delivery to organisations who are interested in improving their knowledge of dementia and interactions with people living with dementia. There will be a charge of £90 plus £5 per attendee.
Attendees will receive an information pack and an attendance certificate. Please contact Lesley Childs at Fife Carers Centre for further information and discussion on [email protected]
It's free! Tell us about your event, news, training, vacancy etc. by completing a short form and we'll add it to our e-bulletins and website - accessed by thousands of people every month.
