The MARAC process allows agencies to share information about very high risk cases of domestic abuse and together agree a Risk Management Plan (RMP). Whatever service/organisation you work in, you will be in contact with victims of domestic abuse.

Victims need frontline staff to have an excellent understanding of risk in relation to domestic abuse. Domestic abuse is complex and requires a robust multi-agency response. Through the sharing of information and expertise, the MARAC process enhances the safety of the individuals at highest risk of further abuse.

    Learning outcomes:
  • Develop a robust understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse
  • Understand the impact of domestic abuse on the lives of victims, including children
  • Have an increased awareness of risks associated with very high risk cases of domestic abuse and the value of a robust risk assessment tool
  • Understand how the MARAC process can enhance the protection of victims including children living with domestic abuse
  • Understand the MARAC process in Fife and the practitioner's role within it
  • This is a nomination only course. Please contact [email protected] for further information and a booking form or call 01592 583690.

All applicants should have their line manager complete the booking form and return it to [email protected]
