New Training Opportunity FDASAP - Introduction to Domestic Abuse
This twilight session is aimed at practitioners working across services who would benefit from a basic knowledge of the dynamics, impact and consequences of domestic abuse. It is suitable for practitioners who work with children, young people, vulnerable people, victims/survivors of abuse and perpetrators and is particularly suitable for new staff, students and as part of induction training.
The aim of this course is for participants to develop a greater awareness and understanding of the nature of domestic abuse, its impact and consequences.
Learning Outcomes by the end of the course participants will be able:
to understand domestic abuse as a complex pattern of abusive behaviours
to understand the difficulties faced by victims leaving an abusive relationship
know how to give appropriate and effective support
