Victims need frontline staff to have an excellent understanding of risk in relation to domestic abuse.

Education (all early years and school staff, Family and Community Support Team(FACST) and Educational Psychology), Housing Services including all Housing staff, Local Office staff and Housing Associations, Police (local officers, PPU), Social Work (Children & Families and Criminal Justice Services), Third Sector organisations including Fife Women's Aid, child and family support agencies, sexual abuse agencies and drug and alcohol support agencies.

    Learning outcomes:
    • Develop a robust understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse
    • Understand the impact of domestic abuse on the lives of victims, including children
    • Have an increased awareness of risks associated with very high risk cases of domestic abuse and the value of a robust risk assessment tool
    • Understand how the MARAC process can enhance the protection of victims including children living with domestic abuse
    • Understand the MARAC process in Fife and the practitioner's role within it
